Ron Kirby came to our facility to help us honor our veterans, he energized the crowd that had come to the event, added to the proceedings by MCing for us. (Without advanced notice that he would be operating in this capacity.) The amount of energy that his commanding presence brought to the room was an amazing thing to witness. Ron is a true leader of men.
Ron heads up the local BNI chapter to which I belong. It is a networking group of local businesses helping each other with sales referrals. Ron did not seek to be the leader of the group, but his discipline, style, and magnanimity led to his unanimous selection. Ron is a true leader, never seeking acknowledgment for his accomplishments, but at the same time, never backing down from his principles and convictions. He leads by example and inspires others to create and achieve their own goals. He is articulate about the principles that guide his leadership philosophy, and has a teaching style that challenges his students without demeaning them. Lastlly, Ron is a truly caring person that only wants the best for everyone with whom he interacts.
I have had the oppurtunity to hear Ron Kirby speak on a business, and a personal level for many years. He has touched my life through his speaking in both aspects. Through his experiences, and the way conveys his thoughts, there is no one to this day that I would rather listen to, take advise form, and follow as a leader. I feel it is a tough assignment to go from motivating Marines, to then motivating civilians, and pull it off flawlessly, but Ron Kirby handles all groups with the upmost respect. He will never make you feel like you can't obtain anything you set your mind to. On the contrary, he will instill a sense of pride within you, and then you realize, as long as your mind set is in line, you may now go take on the world. I am very proud to have Ron Kirby as a mentor, and also a great freind.
